Landed my first carp
After several coming unhooked and losing a few at the net, I finally landed my first carp today. They are surprisingly good fighters! 4lb main line to a 3/4 egg sinker, bait spring with dough and 2 hooks with corn kernels.

Re: Landed my first carp
Best rig for carp is the hair rig if you want to really get into carp fishing. If they feel the hook when initially mouthing the bait, they tend to spit it out. The hair rig positions the hook above the bait to avoid that. Braid is used for the rig so they are less likely to feel the line.
