San V Thu 10/9

Post by Moose »

Finally got the ok to go back out in the sun as long as I had sun coverage and sunscreen. Followed Drs orders and headed out to San V today with sunscreen, a sun gaiter and hat.

Lake is super low and 20+ foot visibility. Decided to fish areas that were out of my usual rotation. Started the day with a Gunfish and managed one decent fish and a couple of missed blowups.

Once the sun came up I went right to the dropshot with a 4”
MM III Roboworm. Started getting bites right away. Nothing big but decent fish. Tried a Chatterbait, T rigged worm, jig, and a small swim bait all for nothing. It wasn’t long before I had a single rod on deck.

I ended the day with 22 fish, the majority were under a pound. I got a few decent ones with a big fish of 3.8 and two others over 2lbs. Of my best 5, my smallest was 1.08 and I couldn’t cull it all day long! 🤣

Anyway, great to be back out on the water and had a very fun day.

Also to see a young buck and his girlfriend back in North Bay
