Got to the gate 4:30 and met Dave,Vince and Steve, we went our separate ways. Beautiful warm morning, they were biting on top, plopper and frog and occasional popper. Majority of my fish also came on the swim jig and chatter bait.
I stayed till noon when the wind came up,Dave left early and Vince got his PB 6.2, congrats bro!
Ended up @25 with one that should have been a 5lb but very skinny.
Weather was hot and humid.

Nice! Straight Braid? Those skinny ones, big mouth comes out of the water and then your like dang. I didn't go figured the rain would not let me fish as long as I wanted to. Might hit it up Saturday.

Re: Wednesday 17 report
Wow. 6.2. I fished for 4 1/2 hours Wednesday afternoon. Caught 17, a few 3-pounders, a few 2-pounders, and several 1-pounders. All senkos and roboworms. Mostly Hauser. Went to end of Hauser. Weird. All of this growth about 3 feet below the surface for several hundred yards. No action. Very cloudy, enough small rain showers to get my rain gear out. Never found a good bite, normal count for such an afternoon is around 40. As usual, always blissful to be on a boat at Barrett!
