If this is the same place I used to 'bike and hike' into, the fish are very willing to eat a fly.

In fact, I caught my "pb on the fly" for 4 different species (bass, crappie, carp and bluegill) on 4 consecutive casts. Grant it, I don't really fly fish for those species, but hey, they are still my PBs for them on the fly.

That is a cool looking popper. Is that a plastic plate on the front? What is it called?

No name just homemade big surface flies. 4" x 3/4" dia. I have 2 versions; slider with a pointed nose that skims the surface or popper that can be fished with or without plastic disk in front.
