North county 8/13

Post by Phxangler »

Went to Carlsbad area 8/13 for my second try at the surf. It was slower this time with a ton of wave action. Got one decent perch. Wasn’t going great, so I hit the little Batiquitos lagoon jetty and caught several baby sand bass, a baby calico, and a rock wrasse. Went a little farther south for the evening and got a few more perch and a YFC. I love the surf game there. Costing me some serious gas money driving from PHX.Image[/img]

I didn't do great on my one fishing adventure at Lake Pleasant, even on a boat, at night, with attempts to get shad with a cast net, all led by someone who catches tons of bait and tons of fish there.
