7/30-Lake Miramar
Not sure where I wanted to go this morning so I loaded up my kayak and made a quick decision to head up to Lake Miramar. With a little fog over the water I searched for something on top, but still not really happening yet other than a few that rippled the surface in about an hour of looking. So I switched over to plastic worms and had to work a little bit harder than my previous other 2 trips and finally got my first bass. In a little bit I landed another one which was small so I ventured out into deeper water and started tossing a blade bait. I was still thinking there may be bass out there chasing baitfish deeper since they were not on the surface. I was just about to give up and suddenly the
line got tight and I landed my biggest bass of the morning at 4.25lbs. Stuck with that for a while and then back to plastics. I had 4 fish come unbuttoned, with one being easily in the 4-5lb range on the jump, but was able to land 11 bass with a number of them being clones. It took a little more work this time, but still had a fun time.
Just a few pics... Biggest at 4.25lb-Damiki Blade Same bass different angle

I also need to get out there a little more often. Topwater action is still not really happening but can take off pretty soon.
Tight lines always Chris.
