7/14-Starting to warm up

Post by VinnyBass »

It seems that the bass that are jumping at Murray are mainly focusing on eating shad 99.9% of the time and not many artificial offerings. Even throwing into busting bass, they are still focused on the live shad so it does feel good to fool at least some of them finicky little guys with a hard bait or two. Most all caught were clones and pretty small and still a lot of fun, but my buddy Joe did land one that was 4lbs on the button. Pretty sure the action will be getting even better as the summer heats up.
Usually always more fun topwater action in August and September. See ya out there. :-)

When I was much younger I bought a big banjo minnow kit. As I recall, it was one of the few "as seen on tv" lures that I actually caught fish on. It had to be due to that genetic response. I mean bass must be genetically programmed to eat stuff right?
