Hot new bait at Murray and Otay
This is a Nage by Eurotackle. It's a 2.25 inch micro jointed swimbait. It's sinks at a moderate fall rate, so I can count it down. It twitches well but also looks great on a straight retrieve. When the small bass were busting at Murray I threw it on top of them and started a fast retrieve as soon as it hit the water, almost like a wake bait, and they couldn't leave it alone it's pretty cool how fast you can retrieve it without it blowing out.
Important tip though! The little tail piece slides up and into the hard plastic tail section. I caught a fish on the first cast and lost the little rubber tail piece. I emailed Eurotackle and they kindly sent out a new tail piece and another lure so bravo to them!!! I put a tiny drop of super glue into the slot and it has stayed on ever since.
They aren't cheap but I can attest that they work really well when bass are keyed into small minnows and Threadfin shad.
Hope this is useful.

Thanks for the post, I could’ve used that lure last time I was at Murray the bass were chasing super small bait fish they didn’t like any of my offerings ( small soft swim baits ) A guy across from me was nailing them on a small megabass arachie, seems similar.

That's the exact scenario I bought it for. The Karachi is a bit bigger, and acts like an erratic jerk bait (sorta). You can twitch this but it also swims great. I was having the best success when they were busting just ripping it across the top almost like a wake baitvito1023 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 5:35 am Thanks for the post, I could’ve used that lure last time I was at Murray the bass were chasing super small bait fish they didn’t like any of my offerings ( small soft swim baits ) A guy across from me was nailing them on a small megabass arachie, seems similar.

I caught 6 at Otay on this little guy yesterday too. This thing really shines when they are keyed in on small Threadfin Shad. It starts to sink as soon as it hits the water, but when they are busting you can keep it right on top by reeling as soon as it hits. I had some pretty good blowups on it when burning it on top.

Hey Dannicus, since adding BFS to my arsenal thanks to you, I almost never take this smaller lighter swim bait off of it. I have caught fish throwing at boils just about everywhere but especially at the Barrett busters. It isn’t as purty as these newer jointed swimbaits but seems as effective. Have you tried them or anything similar?
PS the Strike King’s are similar but closer to 1/8 than the 1/16 minnow.
