Ammo for the season

Post by William Ritchie »

Time to think about ammo for the early seasons , IE doves . Spent 4 hrs at the loading bench today loading steel for Dove and Ducks .Kind of therapeutic or like pulling the lever on a slot machine except for you get something every time you pull the lever . Haven't heard of any shortages but you may want to get Ammo or components ahead of time to avoid the rush . Figured it had been 8 months since the last post in the hunting and firearms section so here it is . Shoot straight ! WR

Thank you, William .
It’s that time, I was playing with guns the other day. Cleaned them up, for the opener.
I’ve become a hoarder of ammo.
It was so hard to come by. About 10 yrs ago I started shooting a 20 ga benneli M2 , now I can’t put it down. Im hunting ducks and all upland game with it. so lite.
Take care
Put’em in the cooler!!!!

The older I get the lite ones come out . My favorite 20 is an Italian made SXS cap lock muzzleloader . Petite and throws really good patterns of Bismuth or lead depending on where I hunt . Love it on the upland stuff . Really a different pace in all respects . Have a good one .
