6/18 Tubin

Got in line at 3:30 let in 4:05 talked to Dave (Early release) and Chuck (619Bassin) as we setup to head out. Headed out and met up with Dave he was fishing topwater doing well. Topwater for me was okay. Dave was talking to me about Chris catching fish when he talks and bam big topwater hit nice fish came off on the jump. But Dave and Chuck are a gun and run guys. Me I work an area then move, so I didn't keep up to talk more. Didn't really need to as I was doing good. Heading down Hauser picking up fish on the regular I decided to just cruise back deeper. I notice a bass just sitting just under the water so I would throw my bait to follow him down fish on. It happened 4 times. I did hear from Dave he just caught a nice 3lber on topwater then bam I hook up with a 3 1/4. It was fun watching those guys hook up when I final caught up. Good day wind not that bad. Fishing was great landed double what I did in the boat last trip. The pics are of fish close to 3lbs one is 3 1/4.

Good to see you out there. I never realized how fast Chuck and I are, but we do move a bit.

I did catch 7 before I took off in the tube. I like to get the 1st one out of the way.
There was a kid with his mom and dad fishing from shore. the kid was throwing a rattle snake. Just as I asked if he had been bit on it fish on, it came undone after a little fight. Snake looks cool in the water.
