Over cast morning clearing and very windy. Was in a boat and as it turns out I don't like it as much as my tube. Top water (popper) morning was fun. Didn't find the fish loaded up more picking areas apart. There were some bass chasing fry and were easy to catch but they one pounders mostly. I used texas rigged worms and jig trailers. Count was down from before ( about half) and I didn't lose my phone so I took some picks. Where are the shad?
There was a Dad with his son on the dock. Dad had to hold his kid while he fought the fish, It was fun to watch.

Great shot of the dad/son! Those boats are definitely harder to control in the wind, even with a trolling motor mounted on the bow. My guess on the fishing is the post-spawn funk before they go on the chew to fatten back up. Going next Sunday to find out.

Was there on the 1st and saw no signs of shad. The bass were all very thin with some still showing signs that they had just finished spawning. It shouldn’t be long until they start feasting on bait balls.

Nice report. Was there Sat. as well and the wind was brutal. Tough on a kayak.
Did decent and a good amount from shore as well. Love this lake.
