Shelter to harbor and back

Drifted to north island fished that side nothing but lizard fish moved mid channel my buddy was hammering sandbass on a rig I got couple on double rig moved over toward tom hamm got couple fat spotty no matter where u went there big fat lizard fish everywhere around harbor and north island ended up w 2 sandbass 3 spotty 1 halibut and a shit ton of fat lizard fish

Those are nice fish, did you try any of those Lizards for bait I’ve heard the Halibut like them if there not to big?

Too big? You’d be surprised what a big hali can inhale. Bigger baits ween out the smaller, sub legal butts.
