Flipping a Flooded Forrest for GIANT Bass (video)
Went back to the well at my current favorite lake in San Diego County looking to take advantage of the hot springtime bite that has been going on. The video is compilation of my last 2 trips out there, one in the boat and one walking and wading. Had 7-8 fish per trip with plenty of 2-4lb footballs and finally found the big kicker fish I've been looking for at just shy of 10lbs! Caught her flipping with a buckled down drag in the flooded forrest. No FFS or Big Baits needed. Stoked on this one as it's my 2nd biggest bass ever and biggest in 4 years. Tight Lines!

Hard to believe you have that area all to yourself. Some amazing fishing you’ve had in there.

Another fun and exciting video from you.
Great job out there!
Flipping in a forest of dead trees and catching bass looks like it was very, very fun!

Love the basic old school hand to hand combat style of fishing. None of this FFS crap!

I was out there this weekend fly fishing for carp, got some but not crazy numbers but always fun… I caught a nice 4 lb bass on the fly rod which was cool too.

Nice! Yeah had about 10 carp this day too. Best zone has been on the Southeast side of the where the creek dumps in. Lots of big ones on the surface over that way but a long walk unless you have a boatJoshmo62 wrote: Sun Jun 01, 2025 5:35 pm I was out there this weekend fly fishing for carp, got some but not crazy numbers but always fun… I caught a nice 4 lb bass on the fly rod which was cool too.

Thats awesome!
This is dedicated to all guys that think they know everthing about SD bass fishing and say things like, "theres no secrets in SD"
He couldve kept this to himself and hammered it for years, with almost zero crowds. I know, I would have.
