Your BFS setup!
I have 2 $100 BFS setups SOLOKING BMC100 Baitcasting Reel and a Magic Ultralight Fishing Rod, 2PCS BFS Casting Rod. I can feel bites even with slack line and the reel has held up great with lots of fish some big fish too. Time will tell there longevity.

Re: Your BFS setup!
Thanks to Dannicus, I have ventured into the BFS world. I bought an ARK Gravity BFS reel. At the moment I have 25lb braid paired with a 10lb fluoro leader. I know I could get lighter but want the extra size to fight the bigger models and high catch rates at Barrett, etc.
Like my reel/line, I haven’t completely gone down the BFS road with the paired rod either. I bought a Lews Laser Speed Stick medium action which gives me the desired whip to throw anything 1/16 of an ounce. I haven’t ventured into baitcasting anything lighter yet but can see going there at some point.
I am amazed how the shallow spool and magnetics work on my ARK and the setup has become a favorite for sure.

Re: Your BFS setup!
I have 3 gravity reels, and I love them! That reel will cast 1/16 easily and 1/8 oz stuff a country mile. I suppose if I were a trout guy I'd have like 5lb.test PE braid, but being a bass guy I have 10 pound braid on 2 reels and 15lb one 2 others. 4 out of 5 of my combos are now finesse setups with only one rod (mostly for frogs) outside of BFS, and it's only a medium/fast lol. All my older rods and reels now feel like unwieldy broomsticks lol.JWall wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 10:51 am Thanks to Dannicus, I have ventured into the BFS world. I bought an ARK Gravity BFS reel. Re: Your BFS setup!
I will add I have straight 6 lb fluorocarbon on one rod (this caught my 8 1/2 and big cat fishes) and 8 lb braid with 6lb on the other, I just added it to my gear.
