Murray 4/9

Post by Dannicus »

I fished for 5 hours at Murray today and the lake served up a humongous steaming plate of deep fried skunk. I threw everything, cranks, jerks, topwater, flukes, jigs, worms...literally every type of bait I had, and nary even a nibble.

Report over lol. I'm off to get Tylenol and bourbon. :D

Hey Dan. It happens!
I talked to another guy who fished there today
and the exact thing happened to him. Sometimes that lake just shuts off completely and no matter what you toss nobody wants to play. You never know when it’s gonna happen and it doesn’t happen that often but when it does, I don’t think there’s anything that can entice those fish to bite. The good news is I have no doubt that your time out there, you’ll be catching bass after bass.
Tight lines on your next trip and always.
In the meantime, enjoy some drinks :-)

So I got home and the better half had a pot of chili on. I told her it smelled great and I couldn't wait to try it...as long as there was no skunk in it. She gave me the "are you a moron" look, and I told her I'd eaten enough skunk for one day.

Of course she didn't get it because she doesn't fish. She just assumes I'm an idiot. I'm not saying she's wrong....
