All I know is on their site it says no private watercraft allowed at Henshaw. I’m pretty sure that applies to Kayaks also. If anyone else out there knows more please feel free to comment.

You can launch a boat but no kayaks, float tubes, or paddleboards

Hey! Yep, you can definitely kayak at Lake Henshaw. It’s a great spot for a peaceful paddle, and you can even do a bit of fishing while you're out there. Just make sure to check current conditions and any rental or launch rules before you go. Enjoy 8-)

False. Only boats. Too windy, too many people have been tipped over and drowned.

That is what I thought. I agree that they only have rental boats.
It does get pretty windy up there and sometimes it is a challenge even at Sutherland in my kayak.
I have fished all the San Diego County lakes in a kayak. Wanted to fish Lake Jennings when they opened it up for kayaks
but they do not not allow sit on top kayaks like my PA 12 which is a bummer. I would love to fish Poway, Dixon and Wohlford,
but no kayaks on those lakes either. Fished Henshaw mostly in the late 60's through the 70's. Lots of bass back there
on creme plastic worms, bombers, sonics and hellbenders(only old guys would know those lures).

I remember them, those are classics. Thanks for the refresh on those lures.
