Hello everyone, my name is Verne and I typically fish from N. OC to N. LA counties. I'm 100% catch and release, and unless shark fishing I usually fish solo. Hope reports from this area are okay on this site, if not please let me know.

Hey @vdisney welcome to the forum! It is absolutely fine to post SoCal reports on this forum, from all the way up to Paso Robles and Lake Nacimiento. You've got some really nice photos too.

Good to see you on here Verne. I used to follow your posts & others on the old SoCal site mainly to see what was going on up north compared to SD county. Did my posting though mostly to the former SD Fish. Seem to recall jerk & swim baits were your forte, no baits ? Does your dad still get out with you occasionally?

The only time I use bait is when I shark fish, which is very seldom these days. My father will be 98 in Sept, his sand days are over do to balance problems. But I take him to the pier twice a week, and he really enjoys it.
