Re: California Boater Card
I started the course. Takes a lot of time to complete. I've been at the computer for 3 or 4 days now, a few hours each day and I'm only 50% complete. Tons of info. I have learned a lot so far. Definitely reccommend taking the course, it can only be helpful to you and your passengers, especially in the event of an emergency.

another lesson plan came up. I did everything through Boat US and actually it refreshed me going over so many things I just
never think about since I only fish freshwater lakes. I finally got done.......OMG..wait!! I still had to take the California exam!
Anyway...I passed and printed out the certificate and temporary boater card and headed out to lunch since I was glued to my
computer all morning...ha ha. Not knowing any better, I felt like I was back in school, but overall know it was a good thing.
A few buddies proudly texted me copies of their certificates as if it was a pic of a trophy fish....ha ha

Re: California Boater Card
Good for you Vinny.... I don't have a boat, so I don't need the card, but I'm sure it would refresh a lot of things if I did take the course... My Wife, Brother and I took the old United States Power Squadron Boating Course in 1971... It was a very good learning experience, and I never regretted taking the class...

@Winstondry
man, that's a lot of work. Finally passed. Boat US is free to learn/take, whereas a lot of 'schools' come up if you do a search, averaging $40, heck with that, right?
