San V Saturday 5-20-23

Hit up San V on Saturday. After being Skunked at Sutherland for the month of March and the beginning of April, I was happy to finally have a decent day at San Vicente. I would have gone on Monday to avoid the skiers, tubers, etc. But, I have a dentist appointment this Monday, so I decided to brave the water traffic and I'm glad I did. Put 7 in the boat. Broke off a popper when a bass smashed it. I looked over and lo and behold there is my popper floating on the surface. Got it out of the water and retied, only to have the next bass break me off and he swallowed the popper. ARGH. So I went straight braid and didn't have a problem after that........waiting for Sutherland to lower a bit so I can launch safely. Talked to a guy who went to Sutherland on Saturday and caught ONE BASS. I am not sure why the pics are sideways, AND there a several pics of the same bass. I only uploaded them ONCE. ARGH.

Good job Sir! Sutherland has definitely been a struggle this year, sometimes a change of lakes or baits can give you a real boost! Congrats on braving the Saturday crew and getting some fish too...nice!

Thanks @VinnyBass ! It was great to actually catch some fish. Been a tough year for me. Hoping Sutherland
will come down enough to launch soon. In the between time, I'll be heading back to San V. next week.
