Developed in collaboration with renowned kayak angler, Jim Sammons, and Jackson Kayak's engineering team, the Kraken 15.5 Elite Kayak is a saltwater angler's dream. This fully loaded boat comes ready to hit the open water, and it features new technologies to make your time spent on the water more efficient. The shape of the boat is designed to punch through surf and is paddler-friendly thanks to exceptional gliding performance along with just enough rocker and bow flare to keep its end up when paddling through waves. The front hatch is neoprene-sealed to prevent water from seeping through when paddling in the surf, and the adjustable seat allows you to adjust your position either forwards or backwards to compensate for the distribution of your load.
Jackson aimed to create the ultimate big water fishing kayak, and after taking one look at the included features, it's clear that it succeeded. The boat comes equipped with a neoprene sealed front hatch, which provides plenty of storage space when doing multi-day trips, and the front-hinged center hatch allows for quick and easy access to gear while seated. The seat itself was carefully designed to maximize comfort and security when exploring big water. 3D mesh fabric is light and breathable, and the removable Therm-a-rest lumbar pad provides additional support for those who need it. The seat includes a hi/lo seating option, which can be lowered for a more stable feel while paddling or raised for fishing. The seat can be cinched down with a cam strap system for added security, and the entire system can be removed when transporting or used as a camp chair during overnight excursions.
The included KKrate can be used as a bait tank, which allows you to keep live bait inside the boat, instead of dragging along the side where it won't last long, and the tank features a built-in scupper, so you can easily drop in a bilge pump to keep your bait fresh. The KKrate box is mounted on a secured track system, so you don't lose the box if you happen to flip the boat in a wave. The boat is fitted with eight rod holders: two Ram Tough Tubes, two flush mounted rod holders along the side of the boat, three vertical rod slots on the KKrate, and a single RAM 2007 rod holder. Eight Yakattack tracks let you further accessorize the boat to suit your angling needs.
