I'd get wide load bars or learn to stack your kayaks when you carry two. That way you don't have to deal with a trailer or storing it. Even with my stock racks on my rav4 I can move two boats though I should get the right parts to mount my old wide bars to the new whip.

Find an old PWC trailer. Either stack em or get a dual PWC trailer. Probably the cheapest most durable trailer option

Re: What kayak do you fish out of?
Finishing up my 1st kayak build...for now.
I'm new to the kayak game so I hope I did okay.
After tons of reading, watching videos, reviews etc, trying to stay with in a budget some what, I went with a nucanoe unlimited. Other kayaks on this list, native titan X, and old town, bonifide, hobie.
I wanted something easily customizable, easy to remove everything and put back on, ability to stand or sit comfortably, stable, newer, somewhat budget friendly, long lasting and or something I can grow into.
Originally planned to try and car top it, it's possible but a diy kayak trailer is in the works just to make loading, unloading, launching easier. I'm getting old and the unlimited is about 85# raw.
Lots of help from this forum, YouTube as well as local anglers has helped make my dream a reality. Thanks to everyone for the info, ideas, patience, help and positivity. I really do appreciate it so much. Thank you.
Things left to do before I can make this builds maiden voyage:
Registration of the kayak
Finish DIY kayak trailer and register
Keel guard
Future mods:
Stern mount motor
Under seat tray
Decal padding full canoe
Boonedox wheels
Seat tray
Fish finder/live scope?
Paddle upgrade
Tool kit
Current mods:
