San V Monday
Went with a friend to help set up my weight balance on my boat and we fished a quick session the same place I ran into the busters on prior trip. Its a wonder that I have stuck with fishing as part of my life as long as I have because of how fickle fishing and lakes can be. We picked up 3 small fish and saw no busters except isolated fish in the Barona arm. A huge differance from the huge wolfpack chewing on baitfish last trip. A few other boats were also back there. We were throwing dropshots and I was throwing finesse jigs of course. When we saw a boil we both threw a senco at the target fighting for position but to no avail. It was like 80 degrees by 10 so we made a dash to back of island then on into both the aqueduct and toll arms with seeing no success by anyone. Was off the water by 11. Ive got to figure out mounting and power for A/C unit on boat Maybe by next trip!!!.

Re: San V Monday
It is always a shock to hit a lake with lots of anticipation and the action is not even close to the last time you were there
like you mentioning the wolfpack chewing baitfish on your last trip. The same thing happened to me at Miramar the other
week where there was only a hand full of busters and that didn't start till around 10 and no where near the action of previous trips.
I worked very very hard to catch 9 in which 8 of them were small bass. I know that things change and every fishing trip
can't always be good, but when everything that worked before in a number of previous trips suddenly doesn't.....it sure makes
you think what did I do wrong and question things that just may be out of your control. Anyway...sorry to ramble, but thanks
for sharing and hope the next trip to San V kicks butt!
Tight lines always.
