I woke up early and flipped a coin between Murray and El Cap. Murray came up heads and won. But it turned out to be a good lucky choice.
The busting never really got going so I decided to jig fish the bottom. I found the bite just outside of dropoffs in 20-30 feet of water. The ticket was a 5/16th football jig and 3" Berkeley Chigger Craw.
Pictured are 2 of 4 bass I caught over 3 lbs. Caught another 6 in the 2lb.clone range. All in all a pretty fun day. It was a change of pace from BFS and topwater, not that it will ever replace them, but fun none the less.

Re: Murray or El Cap 9/27
Nice job out there buddy.
It’s always fun to pick up some healthy ones too! That first pic shows the bass are eating well.
Anyway, I went over to the lake to look around and saw that you were there. You made the right choice as
the bite was really really good yesterday and glad it was still going on today for you also.
Tight lines always
