Launched the float tube at 6:30am out of tidelands with the plan to fish the moored boats. This spot has always held some biters until today. Two hours went by and nothing, not a bite.
Moved out to deeper water closer to the channel which is a bit uneasy in a float tube. Right off the bat in 35ft of water I found three big spotties in a row, all while dragging the bottom. That was it, spent another hour searching for more.
The big bay has been unusually slow the past few weeks for me. Haven’t had a day with more than a handful of spotties in a while.

Thanks for the report. I'm trying to figure out where to go this weekend. Bay or Lake? This helps!

It is odd how at times such a catchy body of water just shuts off. And it’s not like the fish went anywhere. Every day is a puzzle!
