Lake barrett update?

Headed out this Saturday are they still draining the lake and hows the bite been sense then?? Its going to be my second time fishing this lake so I'm just trying to make a plan of attack for the day thanks in advance!!

The water is pretty turbid. A couple weeks ago you could easily see pretty far in the water. Now it's the last couple feet. Yesterday Chuck and I had some success with loud topwater lures. I'd agree with Pond_prowler_619 on big loud lures.

And yes they are still draining the water.

I would Leave finesse stuff at home. For plastics or jigs, based on the green water and a pretty good day yesterday, I would go black and blue or dark like Junebug standard brush hog. My standard green pumpkin worked, but darker was better. another guy said he liked to fish his heavier jig deeper through the grass, I don't know, I might give it a shot next time lifting and dropping, not dragging like I always do.

You can do the top water based on the other recent reports and time of year,
