7/3 Murray water level update
I am guessing that some of you know about the low water level at Lake Murray as each year before the 4th of July fireworks
show because they always lower the water level. They may be working on the dam also, but I just wanted to give you an update
as of today on the water level. The boat ramp is closed and out of the water just in case you did not know about it and were
planning to head over with a boat in the next so many days. I will post something when the water is high enough to launch
but it no doubt will take longer than a few days. Yes you can still launch a kayak or float tube but it is a longer walk for you
to the water. Anyway...just wanted to give you guys an update.
Here is the view towards the entrance of the lake
(water is usually up close to those trees) View of the long walk to the boat dock
(not fun if you lug a lot of gear) A little to the right of the boat dock
(that one rock looks like some good structure for bass) And the end of the boat ramp....Yikes!

Well you should walk through those rocks Vinny. There's probably $200 of Dan lures spread in there.

Re: 7/3 Murray water level update
I just took a few pics and chatted with an old timer(older than me...ha ha) and did not explore or look for lures.
I did spot this one and now wonder how many others baits are out there if I or others really went out to look for them. Probably a lot of your BFS baits are out there in between the rocks but with my eyesight, too small to see...ha ha.
Just messing with ya. Tight lines buddy.

The water is still not up on the ramp yet as of today(7-18). Hopefully, they’re gonna start raising it, but I’m not gonna hold my breath. Usually, by now after the Fourth of July, they start raising the water, but then they’ve been doing some stuff with the dam so that is where it stands at the moment.

I’ve seen useable launch ramps at the river that are worse than that.

Many years ago, I always thought it would be great to have a small beater boat…like a small jon boat.camobass wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2024 9:18 pm I’ve seen useable launch ramps at the river that are worse than that.
I will never forget decades ago when my friend Joe scratched the heck out of his fiberglass Skeeter bass boat on the rocks at Lake Morena. It was the last time he took his boat up there. I thought it would be fun to have just some beater boat that I wouldn’t have to worry about, but I never did get one.
