June 15 scorcher!

Post by tomnilll »

I was surprised to get a boat ticket since I logged in from work to do it...don't tell my boss...but I did so day before Fathers day I went (no, not with my kids they don't fish much), but with my buddy Chris. Started in the fog...just a bit but it was chilly. I guess we are late starters since we were not on the water until 5:15. Headed straight to Hauser all the way to the back and went to work. I decided that I was going to be dedicated to the frog, and I have to say I don't think its for me...I did hit it pretty hard and went back to it at each new spot all day but it did not really work out. I did get 4 good sized blow ups but I missed every. single. one. . But that was only part of the story I did get the biggest blow up of the day on a whopper plopper and she came out from under a log and flew all the way out of the water and dug a whole bunch of hooks into herself...I did not miss that one.

The rest of the day was pretty normal...with one exception. The biggest bluegill I have ever caught! That little panfish pretty much made my trip.

But the entire day was filled with bites, some little...
