pierguy wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:29 am Wow sorry to hear about everyone’s bad luck, the question does anyone know who did get the lucky draw?
My fiancé got the 7th. Incidentally she always wins an entry in the monthly boat draws when the rest of us guys get skunked. Sent her to buy a lottery ticket yesterday too 😂

That is so tempting! Before I’m done I want to hit Baccarac, El Salto, or Guerrero at least once.

Re: SHARE returns to the Big B

I doubt that I will volunteer my money in the future. I don't mind losing $14, I mind that they don't respect our donation enough to at least let us know we lost. I have been "ghosted" by CDFW.

The draw results are pretty easy to find posted on their website.

Help save Barrett Lake

A friend that works for California Waterfowl Association sent me this. My apologies in advance because it is a bit long. The point of it all is we need as many people as possible to email San Diego's Mayor about not cutting the funding for Barrett Lake. The focus of the letter is waterfowl but if ...

Re: How's the Pine Creek arm?

Yea very interested to hear how it goes!

Pine was fine, but hear Hauser was too. We got on some schools busting bait up against rocky steeps and did most of our damage on reapers and minnows on small ball jigs. Biggest 3.3lbs. But also got some with senkos outside the first brush line. 44 for ...

Re: First time at Barrett Lake help.

Thank you for taking the time to write all that information, it's very helpful!

#1, do you think we can get there a 0700 and still get a boat? Or is the person who manages the boats only there at a certain time?
#2, I found this in that same brochure, so hopefully it will be fine. "Lures allowed ...

Re: Barrett Rangers

In my opinion fishing without barbs is actually great i personally hate to hurt fish and when a fish gets a hook in the eye or gut its sooooo much easier to take out not to mention that when you do get poked its comes out easy too. Keep this mind... the more rules you break the more risk it is for ...

Re: What was your secret bait or lure?!

Mine is the Strike King Bitsy Bug with the Berkley Fatty Craw trailer. I’ve always liked jigs there but this year seemed even better for me. Normally I throw a Chartreuse Double Willow Spinnerbait too but the muck this year kept that one back.

Re: A Call to Arms Barrett Junkies

Early release, I am trying to get the steps I took to find the Staff Report(1/25/2025) that I am getting this info from. It is tricky navigating thru the City website trying to find it. Stay tuned. Meanwhile I sent a email to Hooman and the Mayor about the debacle that took place opening day at ...

Re: A Call to Arms Barrett Junkies

I got my moment of fame last night before the City Council, actually it was pretty cool. There must have been a lot of participation because they divide the time they allocate by the number of people either calling in, zooming, or appearing live. The result was 1 minute per comment, I got cut off ...

Re: A Call to Arms Barrett Junkies

I had an hour plus meeting with the Community Rep from the Mayors office. She was VERY attentive and took lots of notes besides all the visuals I had for her. She formats all the info and passes it up the chain of command. Keep in mind the issues I am addressing concern Barrett only. I really have ...
