Re: Hodges report March 23
Nice job out there! A little bit more action than Murray eh? 12 bass and nine of them on crank baits…. I bet that was fun. Great pics and thanks for sharing. Tight lines always.

Re: Hodges report March 23
Must be spawning time for the carp. Probably a great time to bow fish for them. I have heard there were some big ones from Hodges in years past.

Ask OtayMichael, everyday, 365 days a year is time for top water. Got my biggest bass on top in winter.

Re: Hodges report March 23
True I catch them all year on top but usually the dead of winter only the big ones hit, which is fine. Certain lakes have already gone off. I did well at Skinner two weeks ago getting 20 on top and 10 on jerk baits. But they were all dinks (see pic) except for one two pounder on the JB. Still fun ...

Re: Spring fishing at the fave
Didn't take the float tube?
Not yesterday. Bro and I were planning to take them out at Murray today but the weather had other ideas
Yesterday we only had 3 hours to fish in the AM and wanted to save the tube debut for a day when we have a little more time. Weather forecast so far doesn’t look ...

Re: Hodges report March 23
Nice I was there same time and somehow caught about an 8lb carp on a live shiner. That's new for me. Also a catfish and lost count of the bass.

Re: Hodges report March 23
A lot of carp bycatches on live bait. They love dads. One time, while catfishing at the river, my bro caught a 40lb carp on an 8” goldfish.

Re: Hodges report March 23
Interesting. I also had dads fished them until it started raining hard and didn't get a single fish. Shiners were getting bit every cast but mostly smaller bass.

Re: Hodges report March 27
Hello all,
We got out on the water at 0645. The usual Hodges fog was present and water temp was around 61-62 F. I started along the shoreline and picked up a couple sample size bass ( around a pound or so ). Picked around with the popper and got a couple swirls but again no takers. I had a bait I ...

Re: 3/28-S.D. River..why not?
I usually just fish a Tokyo Rig with a crawfish trailer or a senko. After losing that bass on a Tokyo Rig with a crawfish trailer, I stuck
to it for a while with no other takers. Then I tried senkos in a few different colors as a trailer, then a 7" Roboworm and back to a
