Looked for you out there yesterday. Didn't find you. Same thing for me...foggy, cool in the morning and no bites. Caught my 1st one at 10:41 and the second one at 11:25...both on my black frog. Missed to blowups and missed a hook set on a drop shot in the Toll Road Arm. Left the lake at noon ...

Here's the 2 I caught on the frog on Monday......

It was good to see you out there yesterday morning and I was hoping you would find them and catch a bunch. Very frustrating having our home lake doing so poorly this year. I won't bother going to Sutherland, at least not this week. I'm gonna head down to San V on Monday. Maybe I'll see you out there ...

Great to chat with you at the dock yesterday morning. I ended up with 3. Had a nice 4+ lb frog fish on up at the North end. He jumped once, I put my rod tip down and reached for my net, he jumped again and shook the frog out of his mouth. ARGH!!!! Good to see Mr Vinny Bass out on the water, too ...

I was talking to Mcfish at the docks when he mentioned Mr. Vinnybass was out on his boat up at the North End. I headed up North and there was Vinnybass spooning in deeper water. Chatted for a few and then I told him I'm heading to the bushes. My 3rd cast I hooked a 4+lb bass on my frog, but he ...

Hit my home lake for a few hours on Saturday morning 8-5-23. Got on the lake at 6:00AM. 1st one on a Popper in shallow water. 2nd one on a drop shot rig in a little deeper water. Then had one break off heading under the boat, even though my drag was pretty loose. 2 more missed hook sets after that ...

Been a strange year at all of the lakes this year. The heavy rains and rising water levels have left the fish confused, I think. Good to see you're still catching em at Murray. I'll have to head down to Murray when the weather cools down a bit.

I think this has been the toughest year in the past 15 at Sutherland. El Nino on the way and I'm sure the lake will look completely different come March.

Wow, that's a really good session at Murray @Mcfish Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping they'll be busting at San V this Monday after the storms we're supposed to get on Saturday and Sunday morning. Hope to see you out at San V on Monday(s).

Bet you will be hitting San V since Sutherland is closed. Tough year at Sutherland and hope it is better next year.

My biggest was at Sutherland on a silver Rat-L-Trap on 8/7/17. 7.95 lbs.

Old camera phone and no selfie stick. But his head is almost as big as mine. LOL

16 is a very good day IMHO @Mcfish Great to hear they're starting to bust. I haven't been to El Cap since early spring. I'll be hitting San V instead. Thanks for the report and hope to see you out there.
