Re: Who’s all in Sept?

StinkyPinky23 wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 5:13 pm Can’t believe people are willing to pay $185 before fees. You can catch 20-30+ fish right now at most city lakes if you figure it out. You know, for the normal lake fees…

Re: Lucky Craft, wind knots.

The casting of a bare heavy weight to “wet pack” the line is a great idea… my wife used to fish spinning a lot in the past and when we would leave the dock, I would let all her line out behind the boat (nothing attached) and pack it back on, pretty much solved any spinning reel issues throughout the ...

Ho Chi Minh’s trail is the way we used to go down to surf. Cuts a lot off of south or north entrances

Re: Bass fishing Lake Cuyamaca

I’ve always wanted to give that place time for bass, never have. I fished it a bunch over the years for bass but not consistently. Never had quantity or any jumbos. I know guys that do well but they are religiously hitting it when it’s biting. Many trips in a short time frame. You’re blessed if you ...

Re: Bass fishing Lake Cuyamaca

Definitely waders at most times or float tube. . Especially south end.You can fish on the south side of the buoy line, it’s just there for the rental boats. That lake is a shallow bath tub. Lucky if you get 12-14’ at the deepest. The south end is super shallow, smooth bottom with a few random stump ...

FisherMax09 wrote: Sun Jul 27, 2025 5:47 pm Gotta get myself some waders 😂 can you do this in lakes that say no swimming?
The lake will say no wading. Used to wade Morena in the stickups when it was up more. Pretty stealth way to fish.

Re: White horse on the road to B

That’s my buddies place. Just an oddity, like the Hollywood sign he has on the hill. It used to be a unicorn.

The horse ranch north east or before that is windfall ranch. Separate place

Re: 8/11-Murray Micro fun?

A lot of long fluoro leaders down at Loveland that get reeled up. People need to learn how to do proper fluoro to braid connections if they are going that route. Even on shorter lengths, there should absolutely never be a knot failure or slip. I got to do a lot of experimenting on the boss’ dime ...

Re: 2026 Barrett poll/ideas?

I don’t recall if it was me, but I agree, complaining can draw the wrong attention. It’s a common thing when living out here in the sticks, all the flat landers want to do away with the dirt roads. Then the driving just gets faster and faster, leading to more problems

Re: 2026 Barrett poll/ideas?

Get a decent portable pump and air down. 15-20 psi. I avoid the washboard in trade for a red neck car wash with the grass and brush going down the side of my vehicle. I agree it gets bad. You can avoid a lot of it but people have fish on the brain and aren’t focused on missing the woops.

Re: Tough couple of days but...

In the older tubes where you sat in the water lower…Some of the best summertime waders I had were cut off right below the knees. So it looked like you were waded up but actually trunking it…I think the no contact rule is a joke. I love trunking it when able.
