Re: 11/27-Back to the SD River
I’m pretty sure I know one of the posts you’re referring to from the old site. Last year or maybe even last spring. I never said anything but almost left a comment. All the “different” fish and the same unique marking. Thinking it was Perris or Elsinore

Re: 11/27-Back to the SD River
Still, was it alive and caught or floating and snagged? Looks rough. Maybe someone bought it with intent to cut and eat It spoiled and they dumped it in the river as a prank? If it’s the real deal, very wild

Re: Curado 200E7 frame
Ever since the tsunami, shimano parts are very very hard to get. From what I was told, it wiped out most of the manufacturing. I waited almost a year for a new spool. eBay is your best bet for something used. You may be better off parting the reel out and see if they can hook you up on a new reel

Re: Go to bait
My go to bait has changed here and there. Waaaay back in the day for many many years, all I fished was a t rigged 6-12” chocolate blue vein. Any time of year. Very productive.
Then the worm switched to a brush hawg. Water melon red flake. A lot of night time tubing, didn’t need anything else ...

Re: Any Tips For Surf-Fishing The Cortez Side SJDC/CSL
Anytime I ever pounded the shore down in that area, I just used a typical bass rod with 12lb mono and a Kroc or jerk bait. I didn’t have any fancy jerk baits back then but would probably stick with a LC now. If you. A get your hands on some fresh pulpo (octopus), that would produce. I used to catch ...

Re: Crawdads
If you call the guy at alpine fisheries, he can let bait fisherman in early. His business is at his residence. He normally opens at 7. He’s cheaper than the bait shops plus you can hand pick your dads.

If I do a little tresbassing, I’m a criminal…But if I wanted, I could walk out of Albertsons with a cart full of stolen groceries with no consequences and be a TikTok hero.

Re: What kayak do you fish out of?
Careful, those PA rod holders can cut your line or nic it. Mine did any way. No way of getting to the rough spots without completely destroying the tubing.
