Nice fish

Heshaw - saw a lot of carp today - saw jumpers, spawners, tailers, cruisers, and dapples o the surafce - now I need to learn how to sight fish them

Went to Moreno today - what a difference - saw almost no carp compared to Henshaw last week -

Went back out - hiked the east side up to the creek - water is way up - banks are 100 yards form where they should be - anyway, saw a few carp - the bass were eager, so still no carp for me - Henshaw has been the best so far for me in amount of carp seen

For what it is worth - been trying to catch a carp on the fly - I am getting closer - anyway, hit Henshaw yesterday - the cats were very open to taking a fly - good time

Hitting Lake Hodges in the morning - still chasing carp on the fly - any advice, as always, is welcome

Saw quite a few carp - mostly jumpers or cruisers - no tail feeding - did see a few feeding on the surface (saw a lot of lips)
Not a warm sunny day early - thought that may have kept them down a bit
I hiked over to the end end so maybe I will try a different area next time

Interesting - I am pretty new to this - can I ask - is the carp bite not on yet or something?
I was chucking flies - 4 hours - tried a lot of flies and strips - maybe one take - not sure what it might have been
Also, saw many more carp at Henshaw, just like fishing Hodges because it is not the 2 ...

Lots of carp out early - it was like a parade - they stuck to the middle of the arm moving to the left or to the right - mouths out of the water as they passed by -
Ended up with 2 channnel cats - I put one on the reel - nice fish
