Fast action from about 8 to 10:15 pm. Success came on kalins solid black 5 inch lunker grubs on 3/8th oz Walmart lead heads for both ...

Gray day on the bay

Fished Tidelands this morning from the float tube. Got 31 spotted bay bass, 1 20" halibut and 1 sand bass. At least 1/3 of the spotties were in the 13-15" range. Best lures were a Missile Shockwave swimbait on a weedless standup jig head, a 5" grub on a 3/8 oz. ball head and a 4"...

Re: Study- masks causing major harm...

Idk if they cause more harm but they certainly never worked. The whole thing was a sham, one big money grab for the elites. The whole thing was planned years ahead, Bill gates and fauci were both investing millions into pfizer before the pandemic even happened. And the patent for the covid 19 test k...

Day 1- Hiked into Ramona at sunrise. After about 45 minutes my dog got a foxtail burr in her ear, so we hiked back out and went to the animal hospital. What it’s all about.

Some of you guys have known me and my family for a while. We ALL fish. Well, we’ve been teaching my youngest (Isabella) how to use a proper spinning setup for the last year. She’s 6yrs mind you. She’s now become sufficient enough to cast, reel on her own. Just the basic worm set up. Mostly just dire...

Re: Coronado Ferry Landing need advice....

That has just about always been my go-to pier setup. The ferry landing is tight on shoulder room as well, so soaking will probably be a much more enjoyable time for the group.

Fuego!

Got to fish San V yesterday morning with SDFish member Oh Da Shiz off his boat. San V is just en fuego right now. Mostly a finesse plastic bite but they were chomping. Find the shade, find the mud, find the fish. Definitely the best local bite going that isn’t on the downlow. We ended up with ~20 fi...

Re: What panfish can be found in San Diego?

Just like bass miss Shad, bluegill, frogs etc. point is, bass will still inhale fish that are not “naturally” part of a particular water body …moot

Re: Shelter Island dock damage...

No, damage was not from boats. Good ole mother nature. Sand has built up in that corner of the basin, actually quite a bit. It has left a very uneven bottom right there. At really low tides, the docks come down on that uneven sand and get al twisted up and are starting to buckle and crumble at the o...

Still picking away at the "polluted" lake

Had a rough morning...I was shore pounding and pretty much threw the entire tackle box at and was rewarded with 0 bites. Maybe I need to be more patient? Around 10 am I reluctantly tied on the wacky rig and salvaged the day with a couple.

These are the moments I fish for..

Took a little trip down to my favorite body of water this morning, 9/10. The conditions were kind of uncanny when I arrived at first light. Dead calm, overcast. Seems like an invitation to throw topwater, right? Wrong! Threw a variety of topwater baits and a few subsurface options with nary a bite f...
