LOL!! I love it!!

I only have two days a week right now that I can fish and I’ll be damned if a “little” weather is going to get in the way 🤣🤣

Re: 56 and still going

Good to see a couple bass on a stringer. Our lakes could use a whole bunch more of that.

Tiny jig has been killing it at Murray.

I've been absolutely killing it at Murray. Fishing my BFS setup with a 1/16 oz Keitech Mono Spin jig paired with a Z-Man 2.5 inch TRD Crawz. Both in green pumpkin. I must have caught 20 keeper sized bass in my last 2 trips.

Re: San V 1-22 my bilge pump works!

Had some great days in the rain. Just need the gear to be comfortable and your good. Come to think of it, I have never been chased off the lake in the rain due to wind. The ocean is another story.

Way to get out there!

Nice job! You’re doing better than anyone I’ve talked to there in the last few weeks. Skunks and one fish or two fish is the best I’ve heard. Guessing small baits is the key to success. Thanks for sharing and tight lines. :-)

Mcfish wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:54 pm Love the little baits! How deep are you getting those fish?
Most are hanging at around 12-15 feet right off of dropoffs into deeper water. Just bouncing the jig over and off the ledge.

Awesome day at the Murr!

Had an awesome day at Murray today. I got 5 and my best mate Randy got 2 (his first fish from a float tube) All of them were quality bass! We had a great day.

San V 1/25 Really good day!

Here is your weekly Thursday San V report. To quote Ice Cube “ Today was a good day”

Ended up boating 16 today. My best numbers there in a while. When I got back to my area I immediately saw a couple of fish breaking in the bushes, which I haven’t seen in a few weeks. Ended up getting 6 in the ...

San V 1/29 Way tougher day

Bluebird skies + ZERO breeze until 2:30 - an algae bloom + 20ft visibility = Tough fishing!

Hit the ground running this morning with a fish on my 4th cast of the day slow rolling a spinnerbait from deep to shallow. As it got lighter it was obvious that there was no algae bloom going on so the ...

Re: San V 1/29 Way tougher day

Nice to meet you as well Keith. It was really tough for me yesterday. Landed two and lost two. I completely understand on the boat issues. Had my starter battery die recently and luckily had an extra trolling battery to pull from to get on the water. Didn’t get much fishing done today as I was ...

Re: San V 1/29 Way tougher day

I remember those days when my son was younger and hooking every stick he could. Still to this day, and he’s 24, he seems to take pride in bringing in at least one limb from the bottom of the lake each time we go out! 🤣 But it always a great day when you get your kids out on the water with you!

Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More?
https://youtu.be/aooAO1DD0OE

Hey all I hope you’re staying dry. Headed out to El Capitan this Sunday and decided I would fish crawdads. I used to love fishing crawdads and haven’t done it for a while because many of my old crawdad holes no longer hold them ...

Re: Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

In my experience, the reds get bit way less than the greenies. They do get bit but not the preferred bait. I bet if you had non red and armored dads, you would have been bit. Did you try releasing the claws on the dads? That can help with getting them bit. I’ve done the experiment you did many of ...

Re: Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

I agree but Jim Henderson never stitched his dads. He’d leave them sit, he said if they weren’t bit, and after time, they adjust to the hook and start doing their dad business on the bottom. He had a wall to prove it all be it was 70s and 80’s. I have caught most my best fish on greens and peanuts ...

Re: Crawdads vs. Jigs: Which Will Catch More Bass

One thing to keep in mind as far as jigs and worms vs live dads is that with jigs you are covering more water than you are with dads. You are making more casts with jigs or worms so you are covering more structure and exposing the bait to more fish. Even if you are stitching crawdads, you are still ...
