Re: What it’s all about.

Miss you two @Fisheromen and @otaymichael , the both of you have helped me grow in both 'arenas' as it is. Looks like I might need another sermon soon. You still doing your thing up there Pastor Paul?

Re: What it’s all about.

That is awesome Mike. The thrill and excitement Isabella must have got catching that bass and she had a heck of great father as a teacher. She will remember that moment for years to come. I remember my father taking me fishing and your post brought back lots of sentimental memories. Thank you for ...

Look on her face is like, no big deal...
Sure she was stoked!
Would imagine there has been plenty of hook & hand overs.
Time for a baitcaster, heavier drop shot weight makes things easy.

Re: Lake Ramona Parking

That’s a long trek that way. I used to ride my little XR80 up that way until I found out about parking in the back. That’s what I was doing until they started cracking down. I guess I was hoping to hear they eased up but sounds like it got worse. Love that place. First time there I caught a 9lbr ...

Re: It's official

Upper Otay has been repeatedly tested for oxygen and it remains super low to zero. No point in putting fish in if they cannot respire.

As far as Sutherland, we shocked that lake this spring and there were fish EVERYWHERE...600-700 bass over 12" in 6 hours. I know everyone C&R's just about every ...

Re: It's official

Bait balls of shad and good amounts of bluegill for as cold as it was. We were done by May when they really start to push shallow.

Re: The Mystery continues.....

Geez… the mystery at Sutherland continues and sadly has kept away many anglers including myself. At least you’re picking up some bass and that one looks nice. I am almost tempted to drive up there because you know how much fun it is when I can be there as your personal depth finder… and share ...

Re: The Mystery continues.....

It was good to see you out there yesterday morning and I was hoping you would find them and catch a bunch. Very frustrating having our home lake doing so poorly this year. I won't bother going to Sutherland, at least not this week. I'm gonna head down to San V on Monday. Maybe I'll see you out there ...

Re: Hodges tomorrow!

I hear/read reaction baits like blades or crankbaits parallel to steep banks are scoring. Some size being caught too. Good luck!

Re: Anybody Fishing Afternoons?

Thanks for bringing up that question as I often wondered how the afternoon or late bite was. Years ago the bite at El Cap would go off late in the day. From what I remember we would fish until almost dark and often caught more bass between 4:30 until we left. At San V, my buddy and I would make a ...
