Re: Hodges 3-30 afternoon
“Breaking down a “spot”” can be the key. My home lake has no watercraft/float tubes. Many many years ago, I used to pound the shore with laps with good results. As I aged, I began to discover posting on one spot (usually a point) or something that has key features like deep water access proves the ...

4/8-Back to SD River
The weather is heating up and before it gets too hot later in the week, I headed to the SD River this morning. No need to rush, as it seems most of the bass I caught at the river ain't until later morning. I recently scanned over time stamps on numerous photos taken here and at Murray of healthier ...

Re: The Dragon
Is this LAFish?…… I thought it was SDFish?
Just messing with you, being a Padres fan.
I have to give you props for some well written and interesting stories, and nice pics. I have never fished up in the LA area but it looks like there’s a lot of of interesting places to catch bass. Anyway, tight ...

Murray 4/9
I fished for 5 hours at Murray today and the lake served up a humongous steaming plate of deep fried skunk. I threw everything, cranks, jerks, topwater, flukes, jigs, worms...literally every type of bait I had, and nary even a nibble.
Report over lol. I'm off to get Tylenol and bourbon.

Murray Meh 🫤
IMG_0924.jpeg Got to Murray around 6:45am. Tiny bass busting near launch. Not one hookup. Kinda set the tempo for the morning.
Got a couple dinks on the jerkbait. I moved around a lot. No discernible pattern could be found.
Bumped into the biggest of the day on a dropshot. Only went 1.3#.

Re: Closer than Murray....
Great job out there this morning. You really
know every nook and cranny on your home lake
where bass will be….and get them to bite. Every time I heard “oh yeah!”… I knew you were hooking up another bass. It was fun out there and glad I got to witness you in action doing what you do best.

I've seen him do it too! Good job Vinny. I need to get there at some point before I head out of state for the summer. Sounds like you guys had fun.

Topwater blast at the Murr 4/22
Had a blast at Murray today. Caught 11 topwater bass early, then went to the bottom when the wind picked up, and added a few more. All in all it was a really fun day!
As always I'll share the bait in the BFS section.

Re: Miramar 4/22
Nice job!
You beat me catching a bass on a black worm. I don’t think I’ve caught a bass on a black worm at Miramar ever. I guess growing up I used to always hear that black worms work best in stained water so I guess since the water was so clear I always used other colors. Anyway, thanks for ...

Nice to see CorsoEnthusiast and Early release today at El Capitan. Later in the afternoon KillinTime (John) came by and introduced he and his son. We had a great chat. I have met so many awesome folks here on the forum.

Had to get the gettin while the gettin is good, so we headed out there again today.

Otay Sun 4/27
Decided to visit Otay this morning. Got on the water about 615, immediately worked my way to the tules and began flipping the edges with no sinker rig plastics and quickly broke the skunk. Got another one just a couple of casts later as the rain started to come down. I fished that spot for 25 more ...
