Re: Shelter island mackerel any luck?
I know some flyfisherman that got into some Mack's this week in the bay. A strange year, you never know what will happen.

Re: Lake Murray April 5, 2023
That was a struggle to pull 5 fish yesterday...lake looks great though! The parking situation is a real challenge, not sure how you would launch a boat now with the ramp completely underwater! They are pumping a lot of water down to San V now, we'll see what that does to the lake in the long run? It...

Re: Murray 4/12-Brrrrrrrr!
Spoons in April, that's crazy talk! Bite some heads off some worms and get serious now! The water temps are 60+ pretty much everywhere, it's time to end the funky times and buckle down on some real fish! Seriously, good job putting together some kind of a pattern at the Murr...it's been a challenge ...

A spring day on San V...not!
I got to the lake at 6:15, under dark, cold, cloudy, drizzly skies..which pretty much remained that way for the next 6 hours!! The lake seems about a month behind with the unseasonably cold spring we're having! I ended the day with 14 fish, mostly small males which I hadn't planned on fishing for! N...

Re: A spring day on San V...not!
A tough spring so far, no consistent weather for more than a day or two! I can't wait for everything to stabilize for awhile and get into some reliable patterns! Right now it seems like what day you're on the lake can make a big difference with all the temperature changes and water level fluctuation...

Re: Padres/Pitch Clock/Affecting batters?
All the teams are on that same clock..why are the Padre hitters worse at dealing with it?? Maybe they need to stop swinging for the fences and hit a few singles and doubles!

Re: First of 2023
Saw a bunch of monster carp in the shallows at San V on Monday cruising the brush! They were back in the old chimney area.

Re: A spring day on San V...not!
The trees are always biting at San V!Early release wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 6:50 pm I was out on Sunday and pretty much had the same fishing experience. I was happy to see the fish I did, since it's my third time at San V and the other two times I only caught trees. I'm looking forward to it warming up, it's a nice place to fish. san V.jpg

Re: Murray: Kayak or Boat=Same results
That 6lb thing became a thing a couple years ago, when you basically put a 6lber in the boat or yak on every trip, or close to it! I believe you also stuck a 9lb+ that year! Just imagine if you actually knew what you were doing.....hahahahahahaha!

Ok Kids, the site is here and I know you're all fishing...so let's see some reports! The site only works if we see what your catching! We can't all rely on Mr. Vinnybass and his one pounders to keep this going..lol ! We don't care about the size of the fish, we just want to see fish! Size doesn't ma...
