Great job Dan. Good move making a positive fishing trip at Murray after finding out that Otay was slammed with a tournament. Looks like you also had fun fishing up at Hodges and you were in great company with some great guys at both lakes.

Murray was a lot of fun, got 3 including one on a crankbait even.
Hodges wasn't great fishing for me, I took the skunk, but I had a great time fishing and hanging out with everyone! Can't wait for the next one!

It was a fun day at Hodges and it is truly remarkable what a great group of people and knowledgable anglers they really are. Nice fishing with you Dan for the first time and I believe I may stock up on those skirted neds.

Despite a pretty dang good fishing trip to Murray recently, the bass this morning put on the brakes or should I say slammed on the brakes. me too...too water technicality...hung a worm over a tree limb and this guy came all the way out of the water to get it! later this guy had his eye on me...

It was fun even though I only landed 2 on topwater. You yelling at me 1st topwater of the year. I caught fish on jig minnow and dropshot I ended up with over 20 biggest just under 3lbs.

Woke up this morning and there was a light rain. I wanted to go fishing, but just sat there drinking coffee. But even though it was a late morning start, I grabbed some rain gear and headed down to the SD River. I figured I could rough it for a few hours as it was not pouring or anything.

Rare freshwater outing for me. I need to use the boat at least a few times a year, just to keep it from rotting. Heck the last time the cover was off was a couple of months ago so I could suck the gas out of it before it went bad and run it through the 4 runner. I know sad=/
