Where are those quagga mussels when we need them? I thought they were supposed to suck up all the nutrients and algae.

Mussels are about as lazy as a creature can get.

Closed....opened....closed again.

Why did they even open it back up in the first place if the bloom is so bad it requires another closing?

What risk does an algae bloom pose that requires shutting down a lake?

I stayed close to the launch mostly. Was just flippin tules with a worm all morning.

Yep. Don’t think I caught a fish in deeper than 3’ of water

hell yeah, i have been disliking the deeper water that is wintertime fishing. lol

Quick after work session at a local (to work) piece of urban water. They are starting to get more aggressive and not shy about choking down the stickbaits...can't remember having to use the pliers on more than the occasional fish...anyway...2 hours, 4 bites, 4 fish.
