Re: 8/30-SD River am

brush hogs.jpg
Hey....just curious on if others throw Zoom Brushhogs. They been around since 1977 and decades ago they were pretty darn
popular as a very popular type of creature baits. I remember using them back then, especially at El Cap and Morena
with great results. Then years later they(many ...

San Vicente Late Summer Bass

San Vicente Reservoir: Late Summer Bass Fishing
https://youtu.be/Ux_Jf_YhsCI

Do you know where I haven’t been in a long time? San Vicente. I was thinking about where the fish and I realized I hadn’t been there since they raised the lake. So I got out on the water first thing and realized I’m kind ...

Re: San Vicente Late Summer Bass

Great video as always Chris and super job with the jig. San V is not known for being a good jig fishing lake but like you I love throwing a jig and have had some success especially on back side of island with one. Great looking rod btw. Hope to see you out on the water my friend and thanks again ...

Re: Otay 9/4

I know it is always a few degrees cooler in Chula Vista at Otay, but takes a man of dedicationI to be fishing in
this heat and my hats off to you. Being on the water for a few hours and catching some bass had to be fun
and was a heck of a lot better than my day. The only thing fishing related was ...

Re: Miramar

Have been back a couple times since I posted. Have been able to get quite a few by just throwing kastmasters and spoons, letting them sink a ways before retrieving. Vertical jigging the spoons works pretty well too. The fish seem to hanging out about 30 feet down in the main part of the lake (I don ...

Re: Murray 9/6

Nice job out there and as hot as it was, I just had to stop by the lake on the way back from lunch just to look around. I saw your truck
but not see you at first and then saw you when I was going to drive out. It was fun chatting with you and glad you found some topwater
bass. That little Gunfish ...

Re: anglers need to hear and understand this...

The population estimates are 95% confidence intervals. So basically, there is a 95% chance the actual population is within the upper and lower bounds of the confidence interval. For example, this last spring we collected and marked 3,437 LMB larger than 12" from Lake Skinner over 4 laps around the ...

9/13- SD River surprise

I thought of going to Murray, but honest, I'm there so often that sometimes it gets old, even
when the fish are biting. It's been a few weeks since I fished the SD River so I thought what
the heck...and there are no permit fees so I
can use the money saved for more fishing tackle.
I was excited ...

Re: 9/13- SD River surprise

That fish look like it has some shoulders. Better to be lucky that good any day of the week. But we all know you know what you're doing on the water=)

Re: Thursday Sept. 12

Nice job out there again buddy. Those small top water baits sure seem to be the answer to those finicky bass. Always fun to watch that water explode. I’ll probably see you out there soon.
Thank you for sharing and tight lines always.
Gotta love that pic of that small bass eating something almost as ...

That one rock

Is in the water now.

Hiked around with my dad for a bit, he caught several small bass on an inline spinner. I got none.

I could see a bass feeding frenzy that lasted a long time, but couldnt quite reach them from shore

Beginner bass fishing in OC

I just picked up my first baitcaster and looking to learn bass fishing. Any recommendations for good places in Orange Country or nearby (Riverside, San Diego)?
