Re: 8/11-Murray Micro fun?
Yeah @Mcfish I've been working on him too. I even loaned him a BFS rig to try out, but it reels left handed so he couldn't get the hang of it. So who's the real sissy here lol.
The rig is cool, but this "sissy" has been using right handed bait casters for about 55 years and it just does not ...

Re: 8/11-Murray Micro fun?
A lot of long fluoro leaders down at Loveland that get reeled up. People need to learn how to do proper fluoro to braid connections if they are going that route. Even on shorter lengths, there should absolutely never be a knot failure or slip. I got to do a lot of experimenting on the boss’ dime ...

Re: El Capitan 8/12
I never said BFS never works in grass (even though McFish tried to quote me with out me saying a word….. but after all he is Mcfish).
Anyway, I just wanted to say what a nice job you did out there at El cap.
Tight lines always buddy!

Re: El Capitan 8/12
That looks exactly how my buddy does it. Just drag all the grass with 'em. Makes 'em look bigger.Dannicus wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 6:00 pm Oh and who said BFS won't work in grass and cover?IMG_20250812_142111741_AE.jpg

Re: Frankenstein bait at El Cap 8/15
Good job Dan.
Thats why I always mix up a lot of my baits and throw a lot of different things. Because I believe the bass have seen so many baits that are normal…. It’s fun to try a lot of different things. Looks like you had fun. Thanks for sharing and tight lines always

El Cap 8/16
Finally got back out on the water again ( I really hate you guys that get to fish so often! 😝). Lake was packed! Had to have been at least one club tournament if not two going on.
Had really no idea what to expect except for the recent reports from here. Started out throwing a frog and missed a ...

Re: El Cap 8/16
Nice to see you back on the water. It always feels nice. We were away most of those past week and even in those four days… it feels like I haven’t been in the water in a long, long time ha ha. Hopefully you’ll get out of the water a lot more and we will see a lot more reports. Tight lines always.
