7 inch trout swim bait here I come

I have not been up there in probably 3-4 years and all I remember is there are a lot of carp there and they move across the top of the water so I finally realized they were not bass. I ended up with one bite and landed about a 2 1/2 pound bass on a senko right before I left.


Been there, done ...

Only time I've caught bass out of there was during spawning season which doesn't require much skill. I'm betting if you can get your hands on a topography map of the lake and find where the rock piles are you would have better luck, maybe even hook one of those 50lb sturgeon I've seen airborne there

One of my favorites too. Way to get out there. Can't beat this summer's weather so far. Hear it going to warm up some, but nothing too serious.

Final count was 13 with three of them over 3 pounds, one over 4 pounds and the best was a 6.2 pounder.

All fish were courtesy of a jig. I tried throwing a walking baits numerous times and had one bite that came unbuttoned. The topwater action never really got going.

Those were some fine bass you caught. Here most of us were just waiting out there for the topwater bite to happen and
we waited and we waited and it never happened, while you wasted no time catching bass with the jig. That 6lb bass ...
