Late post but wanted to share. Fished Murray Thursday morning. I was able to hit this beauty off a drop shot. Pulled some drag and immediately knew it was a good one. Biggest one for me this year. Scaled at 4.14lbs. Tight lines guys!

First day back from vacay. Hit Murray as the gate opened. Caught perhaps a dozen but all were of the smaller dinks and clones variety. About half of them were topwater, and the rest all came courtesy of small crankbaits.

Like I said, nothing big, but it felt great to get back on San Diego water ...

Saw that as well. I was wondering what it was. Never got down that way but I have the same picture . Frog bite kept me from moving around. better than Barrett.

I made a trip to Murray last week. No topwater. A couple on Texas rig. 14 on a 3" fluke style bait. A couple 4lbers and as it has been a bigger one that got away.

I've caught that red spotted jaw fish before too. Wierd.


That is weird....but that distinct mark gives him away. I guess when he's released he goes back down where other bass see him and probably
say...."Wow that guy is tough to not only escape capture, but even death…he must have nine fish ...
