Re: 4/8-You guessed it....Murray
Looks like most of them were hooked on the left side of their mouths. Must be the killer hookset technique.=)
Actually the Damiki bait fell out of the blind eye bass when I landed him in the boat so I just hung it there for the pic. I hold bass
with my right hand when I take a pic and hold ...

Re: 4/8-You guessed it....Murray
That's one hell of a way to lip a bass. You loose less of them too, since you don't have to get them close to the boat=)

Hodges report April 10
Hello all,
Got out bright and earlyish to Hodges. Something like 0630. No wind at all and water temp was 62F. Also no blanket of fog on the water, so you could see pretty well. Kind of made me miss the fog. Water was warm enough for me to poke around with the popper, and follow with the spinnerbait ...

Just checking in once again from Norcal...... as it is spawn/post spawn almost.... I stuck this 12.12 on a free rig brush hog just this past weekend after placing 6th in a 210 Kayak tournament on clear lake. Sharing fish is all I am here for! Re: First time in the tube! Murray 4/6
I got my first float tube in 1981, and still doing it. Had a bass boat, inflatable dingy, kayak, and I just keep coming back to the tube. With the Bixpy motor underneath it I don't even have to worry about the wind. To me, it's the perfect fishing platform. That having been said, even after all ...

El Cap 4/8
Late post but had to share. Had a decent day on the water. Found a new spot today thanks to a generous fellow fisherman in line who was nice enough to show me. Ended up with 9 fish for the day. Had 1 on a spinnerbait first thing in the morning and then switched to a shakeyhead for most of the day ...

Friday on the home lake!
I got to the lake at sunrise, clear skies and a light breeze. Soon I noticed a fog bank crawling over the dam, followed by the wind picking up and in no time the lake was engulfed in fog with a 20' visibility! I'm guessing the lake is up another 8'-10' from 2 weeks ago, another challenge to deal ...

Re: Friday on the home lake!
Beautiful day in a Cumberland! Personally I love foggy conditions. However too foggy makes me nervous on a float tube. One time at Murray I got caught out in the middle of the lake in fog so thick that visibility was maybe 20 feet. For about an hour I had no idea where I was.
I was happy that ...

Re: Friday on the home lake!
Definitely better than last year, wish it was up about 15' more to put my rock piles in a better depth. I think my lost fish was an easy 4lbs..always are when you lose them......KillinTime wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2024 11:43 am Looks like your home lake is doing much better than last year. Nice fish! How big do you estimate the one you lost?

Re: 4/15-Murray-Fishing deep session
Way to go! I have only had luck with the smaller spoons. i have some of the larger ones, no luck on the bass. I have had luck with them on Yellowtail when they are zoned in on smaller baits.
Nice work!
