Had a 20 fish day or so Otay. Of course half of them were probably a pound each, but still fun. Caught 3 early on topwater walking baits, then a few on a small crankbait (including a slab Bluegill). Switched to a jig and caught a few more, then went on a tear with over 10 falling prey to a jerkbait ...

Nice to see you out there as always Dan! I ended up with 8 catches, was a weird day, I lost 5 in a row before I landed one. I burned through a pack and a half of plastics and a full pack of EWG hooks in 6 hours of fishing.

Best of the day went for 3.26

First post on the blog after using this for lure suggestions for almost a year (which have been super helpful). Saw Dannicus on his float while dropping my boat in. Had similar success. Caught around 10 on jerkbaits fishing in 3-4 feet along both arms (1-2 pound range). Have never seen the water ...

Made it out to Henshaw this past week to do a little bass and carp fishing. Started the morning off throwing at carp with the fly rod and picked off a few on a black leech before the wind kicked up. Switched over to conventional tackle and started flipping the tree's with a black and blue creature ...

Fish has been eatin' good!

I just don't want to hear anymore, " just because you can see them, doesn't mean they'll bite"...yes, but it gives you a 99% advantage over the guy throwing to dead water! I've fished next to people with FFS in deep water and it was definitely an advantage for them...and myself, just knowing there ...

Took me 20 mins get this before gate closed got there at 7pm Vinny got a nice one on craw so I went landed this on the dolive 4”

It’s kind of a hit or miss with craw baits, but I’ve caught many healthier bass over those years on them and creature baits. It seems they work best when you toss them over rocky areas or areas with structure. At ...

The big ones are definitely moving up now. Great job!

Best day of the year so far at Murray. Caught a dozen fish, and all but two of them were over 2 pounds. Plus three nice ones, a 3.2 pounder, a 3.7 pounder and a 4.3 pounder.

It isn't the most fish I've caught at Murray this year but definitely the most quality. All on BFS gear.
