I am more of a drop shot guy and the Robo is nice for that. It is more durable, more flexible and the laminated colors are very nice.

On the other hand, the Senko has a prettier Junebug color. Might mean less fish though since fish seem to like ugly.

It would be nice if the Robos floated like the ...

I've got a buddy that swears by drop shotting "Skinny" Senkos wacky rigged. He tears them up, and will always have that on deck. I never thought about drop shotting Senkos because of how heavy they ...

Re: Roboworm or Senko?

The Senkos that have fallen on the ground in the parking lot at Barrett and have been run over by trucks a few times are real soft.

Wacky rig on a drop shot definitely works.

Re: Favorite lure of 2024

For the last several years, I would put down the Tokyo rig, but this year just Texas rigged baits with a sinker stop.
I never used a sinker stop with a Texas rig before, but now rig it that way with creature, crawbait or plastic worms.

Yamamoto craw!!!

I’m pretty happy with 3” and 4” Yamamoto craw. If you like rage craw give Yamamoto craw a try, same lot of action but last longer. I alway loose one craw after one or two bass with rage craw but not with Yamamoto.
As of now I tried with Ned head (recommend 1/10oz with medium rod), wobble head, free ...

Re: Merry Christmas! Bonus video! Battle of the Baits!

Thanks a lot Vinny! I’m glad you got something out of it.

Just to be clear I said above that it was a 1 hour competition and that is true but the video is WAY shorter than that. Just for clarification.

Re: California Boater Card

I started the course. Takes a lot of time to complete. I've been at the computer for 3 or 4 days now, a few hours each day and I'm only 50% complete. Tons of info. I have learned a lot so far. Definitely reccommend taking the course, it can only be helpful to you and your passengers, especially in ...

Re: California Boater Card

Good for you Vinny.... I don't have a boat, so I don't need the card, but I'm sure it would refresh a lot of things if I did take the course... My Wife, Brother and I took the old United States Power Squadron Boating Course in 1971... It was a very good learning experience, and I never regretted ...

Re: California Boater Card

@Winstondry

man, that's a lot of work. Finally passed. Boat US is free to learn/take, whereas a lot of 'schools' come up if you do a search, averaging $40, heck with that, right?

Re: Lake Henshaw

Hey! Yep, you can definitely kayak at Lake Henshaw. It’s a great spot for a peaceful paddle, and you can even do a bit of fishing while you're out there. Just make sure to check current conditions and any rental or launch rules before you go. Enjoy 8-)

Hi, go here https://www.sandiego.gov/reservoirs-lakes and then you can see the days for those lakes. However, be advised that Hodges is closed on the third Wednesday of the month and they haven't updated the website.
