Re: 8/21-Murray "Oh YEAH!"

Nice Bucket Mouth! Looks bigger than 7 in the pics. WTG!!

Well pics can make a bass look bigger but being honest about the weight of the bass is what I feel is most important. I just rather be honest about the weight of a bass no matter what the pic looks like, then to BS that a bass is bigger ...

8/25 SD River/Quick Session/Shore

Did a quick session down at the SD River from shore. Took 2 rods and just some light tackle. Arrived around 7am, despite saying to myself that I was going to be there early. I got only 4 bites and landed the 4 bass using a fluke and plastic worms. Nothing real big but still had fun time as the bass ...

Re: 8/21-Murray "Oh YEAH!"

What depth were you finding the fish hitting your plastics?

I used to just fish shallow water mostly flippin the tulles and working the edges until they lowered the water too much a
few years ago at Murray. I have been fishing deeper water since then usually trying to find shad schools when ...

Re: Personal best (Sunday 8/31)

Really enjoyed your report and those were some great photos. Lots of bass must have been
so much fun with the boys. Love that pic with you holding up the big one!
That DT Hula grub has been a plus for me also with a 7lb'er recently at Mur.
Thanks for sharing and tight lines always. :-)

9/3 Just Dinks/Murray

Went to Murray as it got hot very quick(the weather I mean). I messed around with breaking bass that almost all of them were pretty small. Same story as they are feeding on shad and that is what they want. I tried baits that in the past were a sure thing which gets me pretty frustrated when they don ...

Re: 9/3 Murray

Nice job out there! I think if I stuck to really small small baits, I probably would’ve caught some more fish but after catching a few dinks, I just I just thought I would catch more dinks. Glad to see you found something that works and glad you caught a nice one. I thought that might be you over ...

9/5-SD River- "Oh yeah.. Again!"

Flipped a coin and just decided to just take a couple rods down to the SD River for a a short shore section before the heat arrives. A tiny bit cooler with a little early cloud cover, but knew that was not going to last.
I missed a bass on a fluke as it surprised the heck out of me when it hit the ...

Re: Murray getting jiggy Sept. 4

Nice job Dan....smart to work the tulles.
Those bigger bass you saw were probably moving in looking for small bluegill. I have seen bass almost beach themselves over
near the far fence line chasing bluegill a few times and especially along the shore to the right of the boat dock.
Tight lines and ...

What are you horsing those big fish out with... straight braid??? Extra Heavy rod?

The two rods I took were a Castaway medium mag heavy spinning rod with 30 pound braid and a Dobyns Mag heavy bait caster with 40 pound braid. That bigger fish was peeling out drag and going through all types of ...
