Went up there today and ended up with 20+ bass. Nothing big but a few good chunks mixed in. Water was way high so no problem launching.

Returned to the SD River this morning after landing 2 bass on 3 bites 3 days ago. It was almost "Deja vu" only this time I got 4 bites and landed 3 bass. Maybe getting out there is why you always catch fish as opposed to occasional anglers like myself. Always like your entertaining reports.

Great report glad you’re having fun on vacation and back on the water again. Congratulations on your first Smallie! I bet that was exciting. It must be pretty peaceful fishing early in the morning like that and getting off the water before you melt.

Spent a lot of time throwing onto bass swirling around the surface feeding almost exclusively on small shad. Still exciting but then you start seeing that 90% of them are very small 8-12" bass. Every once in a while maybe a 2lb bass would jump but even then that was rare, but that is what keeps you ...

It is a Yamamoto Psycho Dad craw bait. It is pretty soft and I like the way they made the claws.
What also is cool is on the underside there is a little hole there where you can put the tip
of your hook so it is more weedless.

I fished yesterday for 7, all small. First time on that lake in about 5+ years. I watched a boat dropping brush weighted tree limbs on one of the points. Don’t know who is doing it but I don’t think it will improve the fishing

Picked up just a couple on top with a few others found freedom tossing the hook while those guys were having a lot of action ...

Very nice and love the pics!

First day back from vacay. Hit Murray as the gate opened. Caught perhaps a dozen but all were of the smaller dinks and clones variety. About half of them were topwater, and the rest all came courtesy of small crankbaits.

Like I said, nothing big, but it felt great to get back on San Diego water ...
