Trick-or-treaters are gone and October is at the end. Wish I could fish as much as I did back in June but in all honesty October has been a decent month.

PB calico. This alone would make it a fine month. Got stuck twice when reeling in. I was able to un-stuck it by lower the tip of the rod and wait ...

Nice fishing... I think that when the fish get to the legal limit, they get smarter ... At least that is my excuse, for the many hundreds of -22'ers that I catch ...... Anyway, very nice outing...

Wet the line after work. It was dark when I finally got to the beach but water was very clear and I felt safe to wade in.
Bite was good. Not "hot" good but every 10-15 minutes there will be tug.
Landed all 3 species of bass - 2 spotties, 1 sand and 1 calico. That was a first!

First legal hali from the surf. Caught down in San Diego on a white fluke drop shot. It was the only fish I caught and I was just getting ready to leave to try the bay instead of the surf.

On Labor Day sunset, I caught a legal barracuda from the surf, 28 inches, on a t-rigged white fluke in the La Jolla area.

I caught a short one from the sand in June, but this was a big surprise.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Recently got into surf fishing as the tuna season is too far away and im antsy. First croaker ever, hit a strip of sand crab fishbites just after low tide. I'm hooked...
